Norman since he was young, he dreamed of being part of Africa’s success story. Norman has dedicated his life in finding possible methods and Technics on how young people mostly in Africa can reinvent themselves to overcome poverty. Norman holds a bachelors degree in Agriculture sciences from EARTH University in Costa Rica. He is a Master´s student at Schwarzman College, Tsinghua University in China, studying Global Affairs.
Zhou is an Associate Professor of theInstitute of Education, Tsinghua University. She also served as the Associate Dean of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange in 2016-2018, Tsinghua University. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Peking University, MSc in Comparative and International Education and & DPhil in Educational Studies from the University of Oxford. Her main research interest lies in comparative, international, interdisciplinary and cross-cultural studies of higher education. Her recent research projects focus on university global strategies, comparative policy studies of international higher education, and innovative education design and evaluation.
Mrs. Miucila is an Associate Partner providing Strategy and Transaction Services in Ernst & Young China. She has over 17 years’ experience in transaction and infrastructure advisory, valuation, feasibility analysis, financial modeling and strategy advisory. She studied and worked in China, Singapore and the US. Miucila was graduate from Tsinghua University holding a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and studied in University of Maryland after graduation. She has membership in a Chartered Financial Analyst and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Miucila has worked with reputable MNCs, China SOEs and a large number of well-known PE/VC funds and Banks.
Rogers is the Executive Director of Concern Consult Ltd. He has a master's degree in business administration with a bias in marketing. He as well possesses bachelor's degree in Economics from Makerere University. Rogers is an educator and an economist with over 10 years of experience in NGO and business world. He has profound effect on East Africa's Education System as an entrepreneurship curriculum designer, Text books writer and is a Senior National Master Trainer on Skills based Learning.
PhD Julieta Mazzola is the Social and Human Development Professor at EARTH University (Costa Rica) since 2007, where she teaches courses related to human development, equity and rural development. Some of her topics of interest are: inequality and poverty, gender, social participation, territorial development, sustainable communities, community engagement and service learning. She has conducted research on socio-environmental aspects and sustainability and she has also facilitated trainings and strengthened skills of rural farmers and leaders of local and national organizations.
She has participated as an advisor and consultant in different international projects related with education and community engagement in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Afghanistan, Haiti, Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala and others. She has written several articles related with environmental education, community engagement and social organization, and has participated in conferences at a national and international level.
Elliot David was born and raised in New York. After completing high school, Elliot moved to Israel and joined the Israel Defense Forces, where he served as a Sergeant in the Paratroopers 101st Battalion. Following his service, Elliot studied at Hunter College in NYC as a Macaulay Honors Scholar, Presidential Achievement Scholar, and Leon Cooperman Scholar. At Hunter, Elliot wrote studied distributed generation microfinancing strategies and is passionate about Sustainable Development. Elliot also designed and carried out a plastic pollution study in Portugal before completing energy-focused internships at the U.S. Department of Energy and the Clinton Foundation. As an avid international relations and sustainability enthusiast, Elliot studied China’s role in combatting climate change as a Schwarzman Scholar. Elliot currently works in the cleantech space and leads fundraising for Young African Business Booster, trying to help them accomplish their mission of alleviating poverty and youth unemployment in Rwanda.
