Young African Business Booster (YABB) is a Non-profits organization based in Rwanda that incentivizes, trains and facilitates youth in Sub-Saharan Africa to create their own sustainable agribusinesses, in order to reduce youth unemployment which is the central cause of poverty and migration among rural youth in SSA. We are already supporting over 7000 youth in Rwanda

Due to the lack of attractive employment opportunities, services and facilities in rural areas, youth are increasingly migrating to urban areas and abroad in Sub-Saharan Africa. Young people in Sub-Saharan Africa need the survival in this 21st century economy in order to meet their daily basic needs and develop their communities.

We incentivize

rural youth to create entrepreneurial mindset through teamwork, business creation and implementation using the available resources.

We empower

the young generation with methods, Technics, skills, knowledge and creativity on how to reinvent themselves through creation of their own businesses with innovation, creativity and technology.

We train

Them through a philosophy of learning by doing on how to be creative and innovative while developing their business ideas in food production, food processing, packaging, transport, logistics and marketing.

We support

Them through interim mentorship and technical support with critical thinking to successful implement their business ideas.

We connect

them with different opportunities for financial support and access to technology.

IMPACT

We are a channel that seeks to enhance the quality and quantity of decent jobs to millions of youths in Sub-Saharan Africa.

ENABLING

We are enabling youth to create their own jobs that will reduce the central cause of poverty and migration of rural youth. Thereby facilitating them to contribute to their personal and communities development.

APPROACH

Our approach is comprehensive which allows youths to use creativity and innovation to take advantage of problems and resources in their communities to come up with attractive jobs to ensure their prosperity.

1. Economic profitability (Increase revenues and expand their businesses to overcome poverty).
2. Social responsibility (Creating jobs and development for their communities).
3. Environmental impact. Best agricultural practices that are friendly to the environment to mitigate the impact of climate change).

Mission

Reducing poverty, unemployment and migration of youth in sub-Saharan Africa through the use of an entrepreneurial toolbox that facilitates the start and management of sustainable businesses.

Vision

We seek to create the next generation of young entrepreneurs through bold innovative learning that helps them start their own businesses to provide decent jobs, reduce poverty and hunger.

Objectives

1. Reducing youth unemployment and migration through formation of sustainable businesses

2. Training youths on how to use available and scarce resources to create decent jobs.

3. Building youth development in the agriculture sector through simple, attractive, and creative ways for improved livelihoods and food security in their respective communities.
